I am a microwave engineer, quantum physicist, author, and entrepreneur. My educational journey spans Bonn University, RWTH-Aachen, and the University of Illinois, Chicago with a background in Electrical Engineering (BSEE, MSEE, Ph.D.) and Physics (B.Sc, M.Sc).

Microwave Engineer

With a wealth of experience spanning more than a decade, I have specialized in the design and implementation of state-of-the-art microwave technologies. My expertise extends across diverse applications, including radar systems, satellite communication systems, and microwave plasma generators. I've contributed significantly to the field during my tenure at globally acclaimed institutions and corporations such as Microsoft, Hughes Network Systems, and Fraunhofer Institute. My achievements include the development of one of the first commercial phased array terminals for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication systems.
Quantum Physicist

I worked with distinguished physicists, including David DiVincenzo, the visionary behind the "DiVincenzo Criteria" for quantum computer realization. Additionally, I lead the design, implementation, and productization of control systems for superconducting quantum computers.
My work spans across various domains, encompassing superconducting qubits, ultracold atomic gases, and pixel detectors tailored for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

I proudly authored the pioneering book in the field, "Microwave Techniques in Superconducting Quantum Computers," making me the first to delve into the market with insights on superconducting quantum hardware implementation. This comprehensive guide is designed to equip microwave and quantum engineers with practical techniques essential for implementing a superconducting quantum processor.
Entrepreneur

I earned the esteemed EXIST Gründerstipendium, a prestigious entrepreneurship award presented by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy. Additionally, my entrepreneurial prowess was acknowledged with the Best Pitch Award from Frank Thelen, a prominent figure on the German version of Shark Tank, Die Höhle der Löwen. As the founder of Quaxys, my mission is to revolutionize professional training for microwave and quantum engineers.
